About us

We are a small nursery supplying rare and unusual snowdrops by mail order.

It all began around 30 years ago when we first started making a garden. From time to time we would drive down to Kent calling in at various nurseries along the way, but the main destination would always be a visit to Liz Strangman at Washfield Nursery. Among the wonderful plants for sale there were of course snowdrops, and who could resist buying some to try, although we were not at all sure how well they would do in our heavy soil. However, within a few years it became apparent that they were enthusiastic growers, increasing, and putting on a great show in winter. So each year we added a few more. After about 20 years we had quite a collection, and a few interesting seedlings of our own, and we started selling in a small way at shows. We always intended to issue a catalogue and finally we have achieved that, though of course now, in 2020 it is online.
